COURSE DESCRIPTION: Deep Water Rehab will focus on
deep-water techniques for patients with orthopedic diagnoses. This workshop
will cover a variety of techniques for gait training/reeducation, muscle
reeducation, strengthening, range of motion and functional patterns/movement.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1) Explore a variety of techniques for deep-water
rehabilitation and the appropriate population for each.
2) Examine the literature that supports these techniques.
3) Address the significance of deep-water rehabilitation
techniques.
4) Demonstrate the deep-water techniques with proper form
and equipment
FACULTY: Lori A. Sherlock, MS, ATRIC, CSCS, is an assistant professor and the aquatic therapy
coordinator at West Virginia University in the School of Medicine, division of
Exercise Physiology. She has presented for AEA, NSCA and a variety of other
organizations on the topics of aquatics and instructs the aquatic therapy
courses at West Virginia University.
