COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This workshop is
designed to promote awareness, understanding and treatment of the human
myofascial system. The instruction is a progressive hands-on approach both on
land and in the pool. The aquatic myofascial techniques have a systematic
application for treatment. Learn skills to observe, feel, and mobilize
restricted tissue using aquatic techniques that are painless and promote
increased circulation of blood and fluids, thus increasing tissue elasticity
and joint mobility.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
·
Study the effects of
using immersion to assist in diagnosis and trace the pathways of myofacial
disturbances in the body.
·
Examine patient
positioning and therapist contact to promote relaxation and tissue awareness.
·
Demonstrate knowledge
and the use of turbulence, rebounding, vibration, aquatic elongation and
stretch techniques, buoyancy-assisted release, and buoyancy-resisted release.
·
Explore the unwinding
process through known aquatic techniques.
