COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Have you enjoyed the Management Track courses but realize
you have more questions? Or maybe you want to ask something that’s specific to
your situation? Or you might want to ask about something not covered in
the courses. This is the opportunity to get more specifics for your
situation, a colleague’s situation, or a plan you’re formulating for the
future.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
1) Get concrete advice regarding your specific situation,
not a case study that is unlike your practice
2) Experience the objective pro/con determination for making
decisions – and when to trust gut-instinct
3) Apply managerial and business concepts directly to your
situation
FACULTY: Lynette Jamison, MOT, OTR/L, is the Director of Aquatics and Rehabilitation
at the Desert Pain Institute and is an author, consultant, and practitioner in
aquatic therapy. She is involved in educating professional staff, developing
aquatic wellness programs and providing patient care. Lynette has written multiple
articles and chapters for books on aquatic therapy and has published two books
the first titled, "Aquatic Therapy Using PNF Patterns," and the
second titled, "A Team Approach to the Aquatic Continuum of Care."
She was the second recipient of the ATRI Aquatic Therapy Professional of the
Year Award. She is also certified in the Vodder method of manual lymph
drainage.
FACULTY: Lori A. Sherlock, MS, ATRIC, CSCS, is an assistant professor and the aquatic therapy
coordinator at West Virginia University in the School of Medicine, division of
Exercise Physiology. She has presented for AEA, NSCA and a variety of other
organizations on the topics of aquatics and instructs the aquatic therapy
courses at West Virginia University.
FACULTY: Mary O. Wykle, PhD, ATRIC, is a professor of physical education at Northern Virginia Community College. She holds multiple certifications in aquatics and fitness. Her company, MW Associates, offers consulting workshops in health and aquatics. Mary is a long-time faculty member and serves on varied committees for ATRI. She is a regular presenter for the Aquatic Exercise Association/IAFC. Mary is Committee Chair for Aquatic Therapy Practitioner of NCCARD (The National Commission for the Credentialing of Aquatic Rehabilitation Disciplines). She is the author of Risk Awareness and Safety Training and developed Aqua Pi-Yo-Chi™.
