1803 – Partnering with Non-Profits for Community Outreach
Beginner / Symposium 1-hour Lecture
Sanibel, FL / Tuesday, June 29, 2010 – 1:50-2:50 pm
– 1.0 credit hour equal to 1.0 CEC/.1 CEU
(Classroom: 1:50-2:50 pm)
Faculty: Barb Batson, AS
COURSE DESCRIPTION: Do you
have colleagues and colleague businesses for which success seems to come
easily? They do not have any more aquatic skill than you (or your business), but
they always seem to have a place to offer services and a population eager to
benefit from their work. And somehow, they seem to know everyone and have
plenty of private-pay and third-party-pay clients. Strategic partnering is the
key – but what is that all about?
COURSE
OBJECTIVES:
1) Examine
the value of establishing relationships with non-profits so more people can be
touched by aquatic movement activity.
2) Find
potential partners and identify a fit for your services.
3) Discover
how to establish and sustain a workable partnership.
4) Describe what
to avoid when seeking a partner relationship.
5) Evaluate
types of partnerships and the expectations and benefits of each.
6) Identify a
partnership to pursue within the next six months.
