COURSE
DESCRIPTION:
Obtain a simple and logical rational for core program
design. Despite the recognized benefits associated with core training, the
effectiveness of this particular program depends on several variables,
including: exercise choice, intensity (load), volume, frequency
of training, repetition, velocity and periodization.
Therefore, in prescribing exercises, the requirement for the appropriate dose
of training is critical to elicit maximal gains in efficiency, while taking
care not to over-train or increase risk of injury. WeÕll examine how those
variables are important and affect their response to exercise. You will learn
everything about training whatÕs between the shoulders and hips, and you will learn innovative drills and exercises that challenge the core
muscles through all ranges and planes of motion.
COURSE
OBJECTIVES:
1) Provide information necessary to choose the most appropriate
exercise for the individual at a given stage of the training process.
2) Identify safer and more effective exercises to train the core
musculature.
