COURSE DESCRIPTION: 

From physician to fitness professional to customer achievement: You probably know that exercise is good for you, but did you know that it can both improve the quality of your life and reduce the risks of developing diseases? The vision is to make physical activity and exercise a standard part of a global disease prevention and treatment medical paradigm.

 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

1)  Create a broad awareness that exercise is indeed, medicine.

2)  Examine how medical professionals can become consistently effective in counseling and referring patients as to their physical activity needs.

3)  Review scientific research on this topic.

4)  Establish guidelines in order to design a safe and effective exercise program.

 

FACULTY:  Eduardo Netto, MS, is the Fitness Director of the Body Tech Health Club in Brazil and has a master’s degree in human motricity. He is an international presenter and well-respected fitness professional and consultant in Brazil. He has published books, DVDs and a CD-ROM on fitness programs.
